  • Do you want to explore the unknown south of  Catalonia? 
  • And what about crossing Prades mountains nature reserve, walking along the ancient bridle paths, inhabited since the ancient times and with fascinating unspoilt hidden spots.
  • Ready to discover the fascinating and unknown Priorat, its vinyeards cultivated in the rolling hills and in the sheer gravity-defying slopes of llicorella (the typical slate of Priorat), get into the history of the Scala Dei Carthusian monastery, the cradle of Priorat wines, walk up to the Montsant Natural Park, to its hidden nature treasures and wide views over the Priorat, conquer the legendary Siurana, the last muslim bastion of Catalonia, enjoy the cool river banks of Siurana, and admire the architectural splendour that wine brought in to the captivating villages of the Priorat.
  • You will walk up to Montsant, the sacred mountain, which has atracted over the centuries people seeking their own spirituality
  • Have you ever tasted organic olive oil, the different varieties and blendings, with a local producer?
  • Enjoy and savour the Mediterranean cuisine with traditional meals elaborated with locally grown products.
  • Be ready to discover a high variety of landscape in such a tiny territory, during your walking holiday!


Walking diary

  • Day 1. Arrival at Reus train station, welcome by one of our team and transfer to Montblanc. Accommodation half-board in family run hotel, Hotel Cal Blasi.
  • Day 2. Walk from Montblanc to Poblet. Accommodation half board in Poblet, in the hotel of the Monastery, Hostatgeria de Poblet.
  • Day 3. Walk from Poblet to Rocallaura, visiting the monastery of Vallbona. The hotel of the Monastery is currently in building works, so we finally booked Balneari de Rocallaura hotel.
  • Day 4. From Vallbona to Vallverd. Accommodation in a tiny family run hotel, Casa Miret.
  • Day 5. From Vallverd to Santes Creus. Accommodation half board in family run hotel, in front of the Monastery, Hostal Grau.
  • Day 6. From Santes Creus to Montblanc. Accommodation half-board in the same family run hotel as day 1, Hotel Cal Blasi.
  • Day 7. From Montblanc to la Bartra. Accommodation half board in family run agrotourism house, Mas de Caret.
  • Day 8. From la Bartra to Prades. Accommodation half board in family run hotel in the pintoresque village of Prades, Fonda Espasa.
  • Day 9. From Prades to Siurana, the entrance to the Priorat wine region. Accommodation half board in family run boutique hotel, Hotel la Siuranella.
  • Day 10. From Siurana to Morera, at the foothills of Montsant Natural Park, in the north of Priorat. Accommodation half board in a family run hotel in Morera de Montsant, also owners of a traditional winery, Hotel Balcó del Priorat.
  • Day 11. Relaxing day down to the Carthusian monastery, also possible to enjoy wine and organic olive oil tastings. Accommodation in the same hotel Balcó del Priorat.
  • Day 12. From Morera to Porrera, crossing the rolling hills covered with vineyards of Priorat. Accommodation half board in a family run hotel in a XVIIIth Century house, Cal Porrerà.
  • Day 13. From Porrera to Falset, the capital and comercial village of the Priorat. Accommodation half board in a hotel with more than 90 years of history totally rebuilt, Hostal Sport****.
  • Day 14. Departure to the nearby train station.

Prices

1.840€/person (for a group of two people). For groups on certain dates, please contact us so we can adjust the price to the size of the group.

Payment conditions

Secure online payments Stripe. In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any unavoidable reasons we must be informed in writing (email). Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive the email and would be as follows:

  • Cancellation 14 to 8 days prior to arrival – 15% of the tour/service cost.
  • Cancellation 7 days to 48 hours, prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
  • Cancellation 48 hours before or no show – NO REFUND.
