Explorers La Rabosa, our nature and wildlife expert, and l’Espardenya, our expert on mule tracks, will accompany you on this break in the north of La Ribera, a little-known area that boasts plenty of small natural treasures of its own.

After taking the bold decision to head north, discover the villages and small towns of La Torre de l’Espanyol, Vinebre, Ascó, Flix, la Palma d’Ebre and Riba-roja d’Ebre. If you decide to climb El Tormo or the Punta de l’Àliga you’ll see some spectacular views. Explore the traditional mule tracks around Palma d’Ebre or just stroll along the river Ebre, observing the local wildlife.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT FLIX.
Arrival at Flix. Bred and breakfast.

DAY 2: TOUCHING THE SKY OF LA RIBERA.
We propose you stretch your legs with this walk that will take you to one of the peaks in the north of the area. You’ll see the old field terraces with their traditional drystone retaining walls and water tanks, built high up on the mountain by our ancestors. They farmed and lived on this rough terrain, and today you can follow in their footsteps right up to the top.

DAY 3: BESIDE THE RIVER.
With our explorer Blauet, today you get to relax and enjoy a gentle ramble beside the meander in the river Ebre at Flix, or plunge into the Sebes nature reserve with its verdant riverside woods. Keeps your eyes peeled to spot the river’s inhabitants, especially Blauet’s special friends the birds.
